Creating Your Own Crystal Water
Crystal water, also known as gemstone water, is a blend of spring water infused with the healing energy of crystals. Creating your very own crystal water is a wonderful way of bringing the healing energy of crystals into your daily life, especially for those times when you cannot carry the actual crystal with you. There are two ways of making crystal water – the direct method, suitable for Quartz crystals, and the indirect method, which is suitable for all crystals.
Crystal Water Safety – Toxic Crystals
Some crystals aren’t safe to put in your drinking water because they can release harmful substances. When these crystals touch water, they might leach out toxins or heavy metals that make the water unsafe to drink. For example, Malachite contains copper, and Selenite can dissolve in water, both of which can be harmful. It’s important to research and choose crystals that are safe for water, so you can enjoy your crystal-infused water worry-free. And, if in doubt, always use the indirect method.
Making Crystal Water – Direct and Indirect Methods
Direct Method
- Cleanse Your Crystals: Start by thoroughly cleansing your crystals to ensure they are free from any negative energies or impurities.
- Select Safe Crystals: Choose crystals that are safe to be immersed in water, such as Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, Citrine, and Smoky Quartz.
- Place in Water: Put the cleansed crystals directly into your water bottle, glass, or jug.
- Infuse: Let the crystals sit in the water for a few hours, allowing the water to absorb their healing vibrations.
- Enjoy: After a few hours, your crystal-infused water is ready to drink!
Indirect Method
- Cleanse Your Crystals: Just like in the direct method, start by cleansing your crystals thoroughly.
- Select Any Crystal: With this method, you can use any type of crystal, even those that aren’t safe for direct contact with water.
- Separate the Crystals from Water: Place the cleansed crystals in a separate container, like a smaller glass or a sealed plastic bag.
- Position in Water: Submerge the container with the crystals in your water bottle, glass, or jug without letting the crystals touch the water directly.
- Infuse: Allow the water to sit for a few hours, letting the energy from the crystals infuse the water indirectly.
- Enjoy: After a few hours, your indirectly crystal-infused water is ready to drink!
Both methods allow you to enjoy the benefits of crystal-infused water. The direct method is simpler but requires caution to ensure the crystals used are safe for water. The indirect method is versatile and safe for all types of crystals.

Dr Masaru Emoto’s amazing research showed a fascinating connection between our thoughts and water.
